I am a London-based journalist currently covering UK news and current affairs for the BBC website. I report breaking news and write the biggest stories that lead the homepage, while also producing original news and features.
Before the BBC, I spent two years as a news reporter at The Independent, where I led the coverage of the Grenfell Tower fire. In my time at the publication, I produced exclusive front page articles based on data and human interest stories.
Previously freelance, I wrote for publications including The Times and Sunday Times, The Guardian and Vice. My beats included gender-based violence, immigration, housing and disability.
Studying on the acclaimed newspaper journalism MA course at City University, where I received a distinction, and reading English literature at Leeds University, achieving a first class undergraduate degree, helped prepare me for a career in journalism.
